Humble beginnings

This association was formed when Fairfax County was young and on the cusp of huge growth. At that time a small band of local nurserymen and landscapers felt an association was needed for the following reasons stated in the original book of minutes:

NVNLA

In 1998 the NVLA changed its name to correspond with our statewide association as well as to reflect larger parts of our memberships. The name was changed to NVNLA or the Northern Virginia Nursery and Landscape Association. For almost 60 years now, we continue to strive to meet the goals in which were originally put in place valuing education, high ethical business standards and general welfare of local nursery and nursery related business.
