Could you please share this invitation to any of your colleagues and workers who speak Spanish? We are offering our second annual conference for Spanish-speakers on the morning of Friday, March 8, 2024 at the Fairfax County Government Center. The conference is free and in person and includes lunch.
Topics include
- Why native plants make good business
- Identification and control of invasive plants
- Safety
- Tree pruning
- Special guest: Alonso Abugattas – the “Capital Naturalist” – will give a talk on wildlife encounters in the garden
Registration is required by March 7. PlantNovaTrees.org/clase-en-
We hope all this will be useful to Spanish-speaking members of the lawn and landscape community as demand increases for sustainable landscaping services. Please also see the material in Spanish on our website: PlantNovaNatives.org/espanol.
Co-sponsored by Fairfax County Park Authority, Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation District, Audubon-at-Home, and Plant NOVA Natives.
Sincerely,
Margaret Fisher
